We sat at the bar and our guy Mitch was a great server/bartender. Made us feel very welcome and his suggestions were on-point. I... had the steak with mashed potatoes, those potatoes were so delish. Can't wait to go back. Read more
The service was good. The pimento cheese, average, the "assorted crackers"a sheet of seeded matzo. The only way I knew the soup... was crab was because of the piece of shell in it although it did have a tasty cream base . Of all the beers listed on the menuonly two were available . Grab a drink from the bar and stroll around the grounds - there's a zoological preserve, roaming peacocks, a pond with ducks andswans, a cool gift shop and tasting room, and they even have concerts there now. We had a wonderful dining experience! The atmosphere was upscale, the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable!... Kaleigh was attentive and friendly. Sadie was an excellent server. From the moment we arrived she was smiling and greeted us with a friendly attitude and excellent... recommendations. She knew exactly what to recommend based on our wine choices. She chilled the bottle we had purchased so wecould take it back to our room on ice. Her outgoing personality was the perfect fit for this eclectic style restaurant. Sadiemade us feel right at home from the very first moment to our last goodbye. In the middle we enjoyed delicious wings, the bestever Candied Bacon (and we're from the south, so we know Candied And Bacon), the pulled pork sandwich was great but the shrimpand grits was hands down the best I've ever had! We topped it off with delicious mixed drinks whipped up with Cape Fear'samazing Rum and delicious Muscadine wine for dessert. The chocolate cake was decadent.
