Tried a couple of items from their lunch menu today- gumbo, artichoke panini with handmade potato chips and waffle (with... caramelized banana, ice cream, chocolate chips). All of them were super delicious especially the waffle that was made fromorganic rice flour including basmati rice giving it a much needed crisp and a perfect balance to the caramelized banana????. Sohappy that I stumbled upon this restaurant. I wish they had more lunch options. Will definitely stop here again when I amvisiting north California ????. I would also like to give a shout out to the super friendly staff and handmade potato chips. Read more
We recently had lunch here for a friend's birthday. The restaurant itself is beautiful & the food was fantastic! We ordered the... Deviled Eggs for our appetizers, which was practically a meal in itself. I had the Cheeseburger with Petit Salad, so yummy! Myonly complaint would be that our server didn't bring an ice bucket for our Husch Rose, and left it in the sun. Otherwise he wasexcellent and I'll attribute that to a learning curve. They just recently opened, so I'm hoping they will add a hearty red wineto their list. They had all local wines which I appreciate!We wandered the grounds afterwards and decided this is a weddingvenue made in heaven! We will definitely go back! Read more
From its Creature of Habit breakfast (eggs any way, thick cut smoked bacon, delicious roasted potatoes, home made biscuit and... small salad with crumbled cheese and fresh strawberries peeping through the greenery) to its flash fried oysters on half aboiled egg with a sliver of blueish Daikin radish garnish to its locally sourced seafood and incredibly fresh salads, you willfind something to love on the menu. The ambience is wood paneled luxury with tall windows overlooking gardens and a woodstove. Brilliant bits of local abalone shell accent the tables and bar. We think we are so lucky to have a excellent restaurant like this in such a remote area. The food truly is excellent overall. ... If I could give a half star extra I would. The staff is delightful, friendly and informative. My only 2 comments would be thetiming of the food arrival. Our appetizer platter (excellent) was delivered at the same time as my soup, which I ordered inplace of the dinner salad & my husband's salad came at the same time, the other couple's dinner salad came later. It made fora very congested table. We split an entree, which they brought to the table with an small salad plate. The only othercomplaint I have, and this is a biggie fir all restaurants-- no itemized bill, only a total!! We HATE that. Not because I fearI've been overcharged but we have no idea what the corkage was on the wine, did they charge for a split plate (we have noproblem with that), and was there a tip added in that we did not see on the menu (also have no problem with that). Overall,this shod be 4-1/2 stars & perhaps we're knitpicking but this is a new restaurant & should get a honest critique. We willdefinitely be back! It's an absolute jewel for our area! Read more
