We were in town for an event. I have celiac (gluten allergy) which makes eating out very difficult and risky. But, they have a... good selection allergen safe menu and best of all I can eat the chips here, because they have their own fryer. Sadly the Warsawstore which is near me doesn't. Our server was awesome! It was 10pm when we arrived ( they close at 11pm) service was beyondgreat.. We didn't feel rushed and When our server found out I couldn't have chips at my store she sent me home with a big bag..It's been four days and still no sign of cross contamination.. I purchased chips and queso and salsa. Got home they did not put my salsa in the bag. Had to drive back another five miles get... that item. I asked for the manager. She was very condescending toward me as a customer. Ie. "It's not typically our policy",when I asked for another 12oz of the cheese for the inconvenience of having to drive back to the restaurant for what shouldhave been Checked by the girl running the carryout register. And they were not busy this Wednesday night. She was in no waygoing to satisfy a disappointed customer what so even. I will not go to that Hacienda Elkhart location even again. I've been to Hacienda plenty of times over the years. Last week, I ordered fajitas to go. The order I received was tiny,... especially for the nearly $18 price, and the food was overcooked and cold even after I waited twenty minutes past the promisedpickup time. This was the last thing I'll probably ever order from Hacienda. The condiments looked like someone's left overs(see attached photo, this was what it looked like when I received it). The portion of chicken included 4 strips, the equivalentof maybe a third of one chicken breast. The steak was tough and dry and tasted like jerky. Yuck. Read more
