This place looked great from pictures and reviews. We were in the area and hungry, so decided to stop by. We were told that... brunch was the only option. It was also a buffet, which I'm generally not a fan of. We decided to give it a try. On the plusside, there was a decent variety of food. However, it was quite a strange mixture. Fish or tortellini with pancakes (no syrup)and tater tots covered in cheese. Super weird, but ok. A big negative for me was nothing was hot. Everything was roomtemperature. Cheese had turned gummy, and everything was just blah. The server was nice, and this review shouldn't reflectpoorly on her. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe they lacked kitchen staff for offering the wholemenu, but when I found out the brunch was $21.99 per person (!!!) I couldn't believe it. At most I ate $5 worth of food. Nothing was extravagant or even fresh or hot. I've had buffets this price in Vegas that offered lobster tails and free mimosas. Even a dinner out in Madison doesn't usually cost $22 per person, not to mention brunch. At that price, you will never fillyour dining room. I saw other people walk out, and I wish we had done the same. For those coming earlier in the day, pleasestop by a coffee shop or elsewhere. You'll get warmer food for 1/4 the price. Read more
It would be nice to know that your getting charged a extra $3.00 for a few onion rings. And extra for sweet potato fries. The... waitress asked us what side we would like but never said there was a extra charge. Its not the money issue its the principalthat they can't tell you. I couldn?t believe how bad the service was there tonight!!! My wife and I sat at the bar waited 20 minutes to get served while... the bartender a older white lady with dreadlocks served as slow as she possibly could.. we watched 3 people come up to the barnext to us wait a long while then turn around not being served. It was the night of vintage races in Elkhart but it wasn?tvery busy in this bar and could easily be taken care of a halfway capable bartender. When we did get served we asked for a menuthe same lady gave us one, then after a long wait we let her know we were ready to order. She told us someone else would takethe order this other person never came?. We went down the road got served and fed right away. I bartended for 15 years andmanaged a bar for eight years. Upon arrival we witnessed an angry couple complaining about getting the wrong order after waiting a long time to receive it. We... also witnessed food being brought out, then taken back to the kitchen, assumedly for the same reason. Still we stayed, beingoptimistic and in no hurry. When our food arrived, it was also incorrect. Our server was willing to have it remade and wasapologetic enough, however we didn?t want to wait any longer and we also felt she should?ve ensured it was correct beforeserving it and waiting for us to point out the error. We left the majority of the food uneaten, because like the timeliness,accuracy and service, it just wasn?t good. :-( Read more
