Shinbashi was just what we needed after eating lobster rolls, chowder, and bread for a few days. The staff was thoughtful and... caring from beginning to end, and the portions were huge. We went here for dinner, and the tornado rolls were great! The miso soup was too salty and I know it’s very common. But I... remembered I had better ones. The same goes to the crystal shrimp dumplings. For the long life(?) noodles, we were surprised tofind it was served without soup! Another cultural shock? This place was the biggest and best surprise of our vacation in all of Maine. Firstly, We loved our server, Bing. Second, The... food was so great (we live in NYC so a great comparison) and the ambiance and environment was perfect for a night after hikingand a long drive. We got this awesome noodle dish the Long Life Noodles, the Lovely roll and the volcano salad appetizer wasphenomenal I wish I could have tried all things on this extensive menu. If you’re debating on where to stay in Acadia, and youare OK with a 20 min drive, and need a break from shellfish, anywhere near this restaurant will not disappoint you. GO. Read more
