AND READ THEIR RESPONSE. WOW, THERE IS THE ANSWER. BLAME THE CUSTOMER! GREAT JOB. Not super happy with the attitude and lack of... service here. Ate lunch, BURGER WAS GREAT. Service lacking. Came back for dinner with my family of 4, one table left and wecould not eat here because we had to have 6 people to sit at the table. While 2 people sit at a 4 top or 1 at a 3...makes nosense. Might want to ask your employees to follow some better service standards as well as speak with a bit morekindness! Haven't been to Ely in a few years - so many changes. Enjoyed supper at the boathouse. Good selection. Good service. I liked... our waiter - I'm certain he never made eye contact, with anyone. But he did a great job - never in a hurry but chill and almostseemed to be covering the whole restaurant side... there were a few others standing around gabbing (just my perspective). Therewas something unique about his style- it was almost like a challenge to see if you could make him smile or make eye contact (Ienjoy the challenge). Local brews, fish was good. Cool brewery and restaurant with a good variety of foods and drink options. We enjoyed the different beers we tries and the... food was pretty good. Highly recommend the poutine and mac & cheese bites. Read more
Friendly and attentive staff. Pleasant environment. Have to say the coleslaw was one of the best I've had at a restaurant.
Went there last night with my family. The service was great. Had a Bloody Mary which was delicious. Most of us had burgers which... were very good but could have been cooked a little longer. The side salad that my mother got along with her burger wasphenomenal. Nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will go back. Read more
The Boathouse is a nice local bar in Ely that has great food, service and atmosphere for its little town. My girl and I enjoyed... the food and the drinks and even are thinking of moving to the area one day. We are happy to have spent time in this restaurant,though short, we will be back again. Stopped in on a Friday night on recommendation from friends. Tried the duck wings first. They were ok but seemed a tad over... cooked as the meat was a little tough. But they tasted good and the sweet chili sauce was good. Had a pizza that was tasty butthe crust was premade and the center of the pizza was not hot. I appreciate a good server and good food. Now, throw in some sassy snark when you ask Makenzie an obviously stupid question and... you have the PERFECT server. Top that off with one of the best Cuban sandwiches I?ve ever had and I can?t not come back. The twobeers I tried, cream ale and stout, were also very good. Prices at every restaurant have gone up lately. Minneapolis to theNorth Shore has had to adjust based on the inflation we are all feeling. Just our new ?normal?. Thanks Joe!
