I don't normally order BBQ at restaurants outside of Texas or Memphis because I have found that I almost always can make it... better at home -- and sometimes it's not even close. I decided to buck that trend and go with my gut and trust that Uncle Boknows what he's doing, and by golly does he! The brisket was moist and flavorful with a nice bark and proper smoke ring. It was, dare I say, teetering on the edge of being the slightest bit overdone, but just like ribs, some people like it that way, and Iwon't argue. You could definitely cut the brisket with a spoon, but the flavor is so good that you can overlook it if you like alittle more pull. The menu was still a la carte when I visited. The bacon jalapeno mac & cheese is amazing. Personally, I likemore heat and would kick it up a notch for my own enjoyment, but it's good to keep it more mild for kids and less adventurouseaters. The collards are definitely authentic; straight from a Southern kitchen. My only complaint was the corn muffin, whichwas served cold. Not room temperature, but like straight-from-the-fridge cold. The muffin itself is very dense and quite dry, which left me thankful to have a cup of melted butter into which I could dip forkfuls of the muffin. I reckon if it was servedwarm, that dryness & crumbliness would not be as present since any fat inside the muffin would not be solidified. Still, theflavor is quite nice and it's almost like a dessert at the end of your meal. The bar featured several local beers on tap inaddition to the typical macro-beers, and I worked my way through each of them in order. Missing from the bar was a more diverseselection of bourbon, especially any top-shelf stuff. I really only noticed maybe 2 bottles of bourbon total (Knob Creek &Woodford) to supplement the Jack & Jim. I would have expected more true bourbon in a BBQ joint, but maybe it doesn't sell wellwith the clientele local to Bo's. Hopefully a rejuvenation of the Midway Mall will bring more traffic t Read more

The meat is so good here. I love the burnt ends, catfish, brisket, sausage....the list goes on. The jalapeno Mac is amazing too.... More people need to give them business, we can't lose such a good smokehouse in this area. My mouth is watering just thinkingabout the food. Read more

An absolute treat. The meal was superb. Possible the best bbq in the North, definitely the best in Northern Ohio. The brisket... had the perfect smoke ring, taste and color. I also had the ribs which were delicious. I honestly can't say enough good thingsabout Uncle Bo's. His staff was quick and courteous. I was walked through their beer menu without hesitation. Uncle Bohimself came out and asked how we were enjoying our meal and even gave us a few things to tryout. To think I wouldn't have evenfound the place if I hadn't had a tire blow out on 80. Next time I'm passing through, it won't take car issues to get me tostop for this awesome meal. Read more

Great bbq! Staff was super hospitable. I love that this is not a chain and you can tell the owner put a lot of thoughts and... heart into the food. They have a list of interesting cocktails with moonshine. Didn?t get to try the baby back ribs and brisketbecause they already sold out but their smoked sausage, rib tips, and pulled chicken were delicious. Corn muffins were huge! Allthe sides were solid. Glad to see an independent business around and I hope the owner continue killing it! Read more

Shared a combo platter (19.95) + 1 small side Mac n cheese (2.99+) with my husband. Ordered pulled chicken, pulled pork,... brisket, catfish. Choice of 4. 2 sauces. This was the plate that came with paper plates on the side. 2 waters with lemon, anddessert was a decent size of chocolate cake (7.99). Over all the food was not hot it was warm. We sat directly outside thekitchen doors. Were served within 15 minutes of ordering. We came in before 645pm on a Sunday evening. There were over 5 othertables busy in this establishment yet our service was mediocre for a table of 8. To add-GOLDEN coral was booming and they justre-opened 3 weeks ago. Not sure for the cost effectiveness with our economic quality and overall value this establishment willsurvive in this area. The meat quality was just not to par. The mac n cheese was not very tasty. The the chicken was bland. Noroll or side with this dish and very small portions . The brisket was not as photographed it was fatty and 2 pc in foil on thetray (looked like roast). The pulled pork looked like pulled beef. We did ask of any specials for the day, we were told a pulledBBQ sandwich and that they were out of baked potatoes-chili-&ribs. (?) Very confusing. The service staff looked tired aswell. With our economy in its state it is in. I feel for this local business yet its difficult to be in competition with chainrestaurants. Food has to be hot and taste good. Reasonable portion reasonable price. Read more
