So...my love of falafel is pretty well known amongst my family so when I was in Encinitas and was recommended "The Kebab Shop" I... figured I'd give it a go. And daaaaaammmnn am I glad I did! It was one of the best falafel wraps and fries I have had. Everyelement was impeccable - the pickled onions, the hummus, the herbaceous falafel, the flaky wrap, the veggies, & THE SAUCES(highly highly recommend the garlic yogurt sauce and the spicy cilantro sauce). I also really loved the "build your own" designof the menu, you had a selection of proteins(chicken doner, lamb doner, beef meatballs, grilled chicken, or falafel), sideoptions (like hummus, saffron rice, fries, Greek salad), sauces, & meal styles (wrap, plate, or box). And just a FYI, the wrapsare HUGE, like the length of my forearm- I should have split it with my husband. Also, don't sleep on the "crave fries"- thosecrispy fries paired with salty feta, creamy garlic sauce, & pickled onions is the perfect flavor combo, just absolutely divine. I used to have kebab all the time in Europe. This is the only local place I know that does an amazing job at doing kebab. I go... there knowing I'll be having a happy belly no matter what I try. Lately I tried their French fries and pickled pinion: oh mygoodness, super rich and delicious! You gotta give it a try once! Read more
Hi all! Went to eat at this restaurant today with friends. I ordered a wrapped kebab! The girl at the checkout was very nice... and helpful. Offered options. The service is great! Everywhere is very clean and the toilet is also clean! The food wasprepared very quickly, we waited 5 minutes in total! very happy! The food was fresh and tasty. I haven't eaten such a kebabfor a long time... There is a cozy atmosphere in the room, music plays, it's cool, just what you need. Thank you for thewonderful food and service! I ordered a lot of food from the Kebab Shop for a banquet this week- I called to ask a few questions and staff was very helpful... and detailed. Online ordering was easy and I had no problems. They had all the food ready to go as promised. The food wasgreat- lots of compliments from both the teenagers and the adults at the event. We ordered chicken (both kinds) lamb/beef, falafels, fries, pita, & sauces. Highly recommend them! Only bummer was that they ran out of larger serving utensils so I had togo back home and grab mine. Stopped by this place for the first time tonight, was glad that we did. We ordered the box with chicken and lamb fries. Both... were excellent. Though, we had a personal taste issue with the rice, the owner Christian was more than accommodating in makingthe issue right. We were equally impressed with the service as with the food. Loved the fact that there was unlimited pump spicyand garlic sauces. Not only that, the place was super clean. There had been some sauce on the floor and the next time I looked,it was cleaned up before I even noticed. This place has great food, great service, and a safe environment. We will be comingback!
