Rico's Molto Buono! Italian-American Pizza/Pasta Parlor Location: Englewood. One block north of Hampden on the east side of... Broadway, next to an army surplus store. Type: About 5 tables for dine-in. Take-out seems to be the most popular. Cateringoptions and prices seem intriguing too. Third-party delivery is also available. Ambiance: '70's vibe. Starters: We tried themozzarella sticks. They were super crispy and took us back to the early '80s, especially with the fountain soda in plastic redcups (dine-in includes one free refill). Pizza: The two of us shared a 16" Portofino pizza. It had a garlic white saucetopped with sliced Roma tomatoes and basil. The crust was perfect: It was thin, yet well-risen and buttery. We ended up onlyeating half there (2 slices each was plenty), but happily took the rest home. It was even better the next day. The pastaoptions sound great too! Rico's lives up to it's reputation and history as a Broadway legend. Amazing pizza, calzones and pizza bread sandwiches. I get... their generous meatball sandwich almost every lunchtime visit. The homemade, authentic pizza dough, ingredients and specialpizza cheese sets them apart. The downtown location has always been limited for parking and seating. "Take-Out" or deliverywill be your best option. Definitely worth it though. I love these folks and remain a faithful customer for over 30 years. Read more
