The golf Marshall?s on this course are rude and don't answer any questions. They hurried you along and use corse words to get you to go faster, when you are not holding anyone up. Not enjoyable to play. But the back 9 in beautiful.
Course in the same great condition it always is despite excessive heat this week. Greens are fast and true. Excellent customer service. Be aware, no beverage cart service due to Covid-19. Love playing at Peninsula! Update 7-3-22: Great shape, excellent customer service by a friendly staff. Pace of play was 4:30 for 18 with cart. Great experience again! Thanks PGA!
Peninsula State Park is one of the most beautiful courses in Wisconsin. Pristine 18 hole track with awesome views of the bay. However, as many others have pointed out in reviews, the staff, particularly the starter, treated my group with no respect and actually was openly patronizing others in our group. I?ve dealt with many grumpy starters in my life but this man takes the cake. Would recommend you look elsewhere unless you want to be insulted and have your round ruined at the first tee box by a rude starter.
Beautiful course, it?s a shame the starter completely ruined my experience and calls the Marshall to hackle us the first hole. No one is going to play well their first hole when being stalked and yelled at by the staff every stroke. While in the meantime, the starter proceeds to talk poorly about us (a foursome) with our friends in the next foursome behind us. Not a good look dude.
Great course, good layout. Course was in good shape. Greens held and ran 9-10 with subtle breaks. A little pricey at $70 with but I would play it again.
For this early in the season it was in great shape. Spectacular views, especially on the back 9.
The course was wonderful and very beautiful! I really wish I could give it a full 5 starts, however one of the staff members was quite rude- and kept asking us if we had ever golfed before, when in fact we had golfed this exact course in the past. A little too pretentious for my taste, and sadly I don?t believe I?ll return. I sincerely hope no one else gets treated the way we were treated.
Beautiful, great shape and will challenge anyone
