So disappointed in Bolero! My husband made reservations for Mother's Day last week. When we showed up for our reservation the... doors were locked. We went to the desk at the Avalon and we're told that brunch was canceled. We were never notified. And whereare we supposed to go for brunch on Mother's Day when every other place is full? We ended up going to El Amigo and had awonderful lunch. Thank you El Amigo for the delicious food and wonderful service. Read more

Great time. We had made reservations. Our table was beautifully set. We we each given our own teapot and chose our own tea from... a selection. A three tiered platter came out. Our server explained what each item was. Are scones were still warm sandwicheswere very delicious we had three different sandwiches there is egg and cucumber which was very refreshing, turkey and grape, there was also a ham. They're not your traditional mayo-based sandwiches. The desert layer of the platter I had two of each kindof cookie and petit fours. There were so many we even end of the day with mimosas and a slice of cake which we had boxed up. Itwas a wonderful afternoon experience and I will be back. Read more

I walked with coworker to the Bolero to pick up her lunch today. It was the first time I had visited and I was impressed by the... food and the space. I was excited to share it with my group, an audience I know doesn't utilize the Bolero. So I returned in theevening to show a colleague of mine the space for a potential social gathering and fundraiser. We were looking for a space tohost 50 to 100 young adult professionals and students, in their 20s and 30s. I wanted to show her around have a drink and workon some of our projects. I am 25 and my colleague is 20. I requested a drink and she requested a ginger ale. We were deniedservice, which is fine? But, when my friend was curious and asked why I couldn't have a drink with her, the server got defensiveand told us to leave the restaurant. I am very disappointed with the Bolero. I was really excited about the space, but we willgo to one our familiar places with better service. Read more

Walked in with my colleague in search for a place to hold our fundraising and social events. There would?ve been at most 200 for... some events. We went in to take a closer look around and discuss business. My colleague is 25 and our events would be attendedby young adults of all ages. We were told by the bartender that because of my age and my colleagues age, that she could notdrink while I had a nonalcoholic beverage. We are both adults but no big deal, we attempted to walk around and look at thespace. However, the bartender must have felt we were disagreeing with what she told us and proceeded to tell us to leave. So wedid, and we will be taking our business elsewhere. Read more
