Traveling for work, and I wanted tacos for Tuesday. Checked this place out since it was close to the hotel. Honestly... underwhelmed. The street tacos were ok, but not as good as other places I've been too. The crunchy taco lacked flavor, and brokeapart after my 2nd bite. I had a plate full of lettuce, and not much else(pics). And $8 for a beer? I have heard from otherlocals that there are better places in the area. Read more

I had to throw the rest of my Carna Asada Plate away. I eat here regularly and have the Carna Asada Fries and they are ????.... However, today's experience was horrible. When I spend $20 on a meal at a restaurant, I expect high quality. Along with my CarnaAsada Plate to go today, I ordered chips and salsa while I wait. First, when I ordered, the lady wouldn't let me sub avocado forguac which was disappointing. Then the chips were gross and overcooked. Then, when I opened my meal, it was slopped togetherwith very little meat. When I got home, and attempted to eat it, the edges of my flour tortillas was hard, and the rice wasovercooked and hard and the beans were cold. What you see in my pic is what I had to throw away. I cannot afford to throw away$20! That's a lot of money to throw away and this was supposed to be a treat. I am very disappointed in one of my favoriterestaurants in Escondido. Read more

No greeting when I stepped in the door. The place was split between the restaurant which was well lit and the cantina which was... dimmed and had its own mood. Took a while for the lady to come in the front and take our order. Ordered the Jr monster Philly. The flavor and party in my mouth was AMAZING. The cheese pull and the meat so tender. The peppers and onion OMG. Also had thehorchata was delicious perfect sweetness and not so chalky. The salsa bar didn?t have lemon and looked very bare. Only carrotsand jalapeños. 4 out of 5 because the counter lady needs some customer service skills and the bare condiments, but the food andpresentation was FAB. I?m out!!! Read more
