The manager (Curt) was the only one on duty and the process to order was extremely efficient and kind. The food came out very... fast and was very delicious. Order the specialty pizza "the broadside" you won't be disappointed. Also tried the fries and theprevious reviews are dead wrong. The wings were also spectacular. I strongly recommend this as I will be making it a staple inmy work week dining spot for lunch. Be patient if there's only 1 person working. Read more

IF YOU?RE INTO LONG DELAYS, MANAGEMENT ATTITUDE AND INEFFICIENCY-THIS IS YOUR PLACE Arrived and was immediately sat which is... best part of this review. Restaurant was noted to be dirty with lots of empty tables, dirty dishes all over and a smell of stalefood. Waitress was nice and took order (apps cold salad and pizza). 30 min later waitress said food should be coming out butanother 10 min and still no food (not even apps). 60 minutes after ordering still no food so inquired when food would be comingout and was told hot apps just went in oven and cold salad was almost made but she couldn?t say when it would be out. Ironically table which came in 20 min after us received their entire meal (pizza chicken etc) at this time as well. Manager cameover and said they were short handed and he was making orders in the order they came in - pretty much throwing his waitressunder the bus. Looked at another table that came in 45 min after us and they had their entire meal (pizza calzone and salad).Explained to manager that this was the second time we had tried a Barnyard and the second time we have had to wait over an hourfor food. His response was absolutely shocking in that he said, ?Well maybe this restaurant isn?t for you.? Having worked inthe restaurant business for many years he could have said a lot of other things which I would have understood and accepted butclearly he wasn?t interested in trying to retain a customer. MR. MANAGER - You are correct.. this restaurant isn?t for me norwill it ever be again. I look for restaurants that are clean, efficient, and have well trained staff and quality food. Clearlynone of that is at your Barnyard so I won?t inconvenience you by spending my money at your establishment. Instead I will just behappy to share my experience and your undue attitude with everyone I know? To the owners, you may want to look at a new managerand some more training for your staff as in reading other reviews I am not alone. If I could leave (0) Read more

Firstly, there was only one employee in the whole restaurant for lunch. I felt bad for him, waiting, cooking, cleaning. He was... great, the only reason this place got any stars at all. The food was bad. The pizza was black on the bottom, the crust tasteslike a stale cracker, the cheese was low grade and tasted weird. Ordered extra cheese, was disappointed by the result. Thechicken fingers and fries were salt bombs. The salad was pretty good. So there's that. I want that employee to know, if he everreads this, that he should go work someplace else. He deserves better. Read more

Terrible experience *attempting* to eat at the Essex location tonight. We were seated and our orders were placed in a fairly... timely manner. The server did mention they were out of an item or two (after we attempted to order them). About twenty minutesafter ordering, the waiter came by to tell us that they couldn?t make one of the sandwiches that two in our party had ordered.Okay? so we ordered something else. About forty minutes later (zero communication from our waiter), two sandwiches weredelivered (out of four). They had the wrong combination of fries. When we questioned it, we were told they were out of fries(even though we were still waiting on food that we expected to come with fries?). The BLT was a cold mess. The bread was staleand the bacon was fatty and undercooked. The steak sandwich was totally overcooked. We waited for the other two sandwiches?andwaited. At that point, everything on the table was cold. We decided to just bring it all home and remake/cook/reheat it. When weasked for our other two sandwiches to be boxed, we were told they hadn?t been made yet. A full hour and a half after we had beenseated. The staff made excuse after excuse about being backed up and their printer not working (?) but in reality - there werevery few people eating in the restaurant. We left without eating anything. There was zero communication and the quality of thefood that we did get was terrible. This restaurant is poorly managed and being run by untrained children. We will not bereturning. Read more

Set in an old Pizza Hut, its got a great atmosphere and the Pizza was good. I would definitely take my kids back they loved to... watch the staff cooking the pies. I've also been by and seen some nights where they have cornhole set up. You should definitelycheck it out. Read more
