Good food, great service, friendly atmosphere. Clean place and lots of room for larger groups. We had reserved a spot for our church group of 8. They gave us a nice spot and the view was over looking the Clackamas river. Our waitress was very nice and she was friendly. I felt relaxed while were enjoying our meal. Great place for whole family!
Always busy for dinner and drinks with trivia nights and live music nights in the bar. Understaffed for the amount of patrons but the staff does their best to make the rounds and has always been friendly. Full bar service that may not always be familiar with requested cocktails but they will look them up and do their best to accommodate from their full bar. Cheese Curds and Wings are perfect starters. The Steakhouse Steak Salad is delicious for a lighter meal and for a heavier meal, Steak with a loaded baked potato, steamed veggies and a side salad have never disappointed. Would be a 5 if they weren't short staffed.
Really liked this casual dining place and bar. Lots to choose from on the menu. Prime rib sandwich is delicious. Service was great. Staff very friendly PLUS views of the Clackamas River. We will be dining there more
Ordered fish and chips and it was... puffy? So overbattered. Like you wrapped cod in a non-sweet pancake or an elephant ear. The outside was golden and crunchy, but the inside of the coating was underdone and doughy. I'm still mad. And, yeah, the view of the river is gorgeous, but the place 's ambience doesn't warrant the pretentious menu and ridiculous prices. Truffle fries? An $89 chateaubriand (yes, really!?). And yet I can hear the Allman Brothers and video poker machines from the bar? And their $5 side salad is diced iceberg mix with croutons and sunflower seeds? Figure out if you're a small-town "good eats" joint (and then charge like it) or if you're an upscale steakhouse (and then decorate like it). Until then, I'll be avoiding this place.
We both had versions of the Elk burger. Julie had a build your own version so she could have it without bacon and ham which turns her stomach. My Elk burger I had with no cheese. We didn't know our order of onion rings would be sprinkled with cheese. I shook off what I could. They were delicious, we both enjoyed them. I forgot to ask for my garden salad without cheese which I picked cheese out what I could. I had to eat my thin sliced bacon and ham before I could fit the burger in my mouth since thick burger with egg on top, over hard with it's unique pretzel bun. Our caution didn't pay off as Julie could taste some pork on elk burger which we should have explained to our server all our sensitivities. I am sure they could have helped us avoid our discomforts as Julie had to take a remedy on our way home from Estacada to Salem to reduce her stomach issues. Very nice atmosphere and service. The Restaurant overlooks the Clackamas River. We enjoyed driving up through the burned out forest even with the heavy rain storms and minor rock falls on the road before we stopped for dinner.
My wife and I visited around 2pm on a Saturday for a late lunch. Very loud country music in the bar so we went to the "lounge". We were alone with 4-5 tables and waited a good while until someone brought us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Must've been a slow day because our server didn't show up for 10-15 minutes. Once our orders were placed, the food was brought out in short order. Wife did not like the doughy batter on her fish and chips and my grilled Reuben was a bit greasier than I like, but had pastrami vs corned beef and was pretty good. Definitely not an upscale restaurant, but we didn't expect to find one in Estacada anyway.
First impression, was poor and we were greeted by locals at the video poker machine. We waited for 10-15 minutes at the door. No hostess showed up to greet us or show us to our table. We ordered drinks and the glasses were very dingy and gross looking. They probably need to use stronger chemicals to clean off the dinginess on the glassware. When food arrived we asked our burgers with no onions and pickles and when it arrived it had them and the waiter just said my bad and walked to the back. The penne and cheese had way too much garlic and it was overheating. Service was sub par for a steakhouse and was on unprofessional for this type of dining. I wouldn't recommend this place for dining. Waiter had jeans, sweatshirt and a hat and a long beard. For a fine dining restaurant, you would expect something more casual and semi professional. If I could would give it 0 stars.
Wonderful staff wonderful food great views 1st time here will definitely return
One of the best reason to visit Estacada is to experience Cazadero Inn. We offer a great time for people everywhere and our scrumptious chicken is the reason people keep coming back for more. If you'd like to ask us some questions or make a reservation call us at (503) 630-2900.
