Not sure my grandmother knows how to do this so I want to leave a review on her behalf. She goes here at least once a week, it?s... her absolute favourite restaurant. I?ve been with her a few times and I 100% understand why. The people are so friendly and thefood is great. Mai Bistro is a pleasant place to sit and share a meal with friends and family. The menu can be a little overwhelming to look... at and read through if it's your first time there, especially if you are not familiar with this type of food. There are photosof some of their dishes on their Facebook page so head over there if you need a visual of what you're ordering before youorder. We tried three dishes while we were there: Chicken Pad Thai, Fish Tacos and Crispy Seabass Fillet. The star of the daywas the Chicken Pad Thai (which was the dish my husband chose). Possibly the best pad Thai I have ever had. Super flavourful andmore than enough to leave you comfortably full. The fish tacos were good, however, I felt that the portions of fish in them werequite small and that for the price of the dish that fries or a side of some kind should have been included. Luckily, hubbyshared his Pad Thai. The seabass fillet and chips was decent - cooked well, but would have preferred the fillet be skinless andthen breaded. Fries were good. The mango salsa and slaw were really good and really added to the dish. Overall, the servicespeed was adequate and the waitress was a sweetheart. Oh, not sure if there's a bathroom here or not, but hubby looked for onebriefly and couldn't find it. If there is one, better signage would help wandering customers to locate the washroom in thefuture. Would definitely return to eat here again! Read more
I absolutely love the food here! Always consistent, enjoyable and delicious! It's such a pleasant experience every time!... Everything on their menu is authentic, super fresh and full of flavour. Without a doubt, you will not be disappointed! Fromtheir sauces to their hand cut fries and homemade desserts, I love how everything is made from scratch and with such passion.All their dishes are creative and perfectly balanced. I like that they offer specials to keep things interesting. If you'relucky, the chef will come out to say hello. Here are some dishes I highly recommend: Small Tapas: - Grilled/Fried Calamari -Grilled Portebella - Karaage - Mai Hand Cut Fries - Shrimp Ceviche - Green Mango Salad - Grilled Thai Beef Salad Large Tapas -Grilled Argentina Steak - Grilled Lemongrass Pork - Grilled Fish Tacos You definitely don't want to leave without trying theirdessert so be sure to save some room and thank me later! I came here with a group of coworkers about a couple of weeks ago and the food and service was great! The tofu steaks are super... flavorful! I love regular tofu already, but this was actually meaty tasting because of the type of tofu that they use! Mycoworkers loved the seafood! Even the chips and salsa were delicious! They taste like the chips and salsa I'd get in a goodMexican restaurant on southern California. The servers were so nice and patient will all of us having trouble making up ourminds!
