Chrissy our server was absolutely spectacular. We haven't had service like that in a looooong time. The Keg definitely needs to... recognize this bright star. We loved the ambience and the food. We had a group of 9 in a nice private-ish spot. Food wasdelicious. Notable mentions go to their Summer Lobster menu. The Brie app is addictive. Steak cooked perfectly. My friend took his sister for a pre-celebratory birthday lunch. It was THE WORST Keg experience ever. He emailed the general... manager afterwards with the feedback, BUT she didn't even have the courtesy to respond to the email. The food was really bad.Salmon was burnt outside but uncooked inside. the rice was socked in soy sauce, super salty. He asked for a cup with warm water.The first cup was dirty on the inside and the replacement cup was dirty on the outside.The waitress was dressing soinappropriate with super low neckline. Since when there is so dress code for restaurant like Keg??? Nice spot conveniently located close to Gardiner. The interior is pretty chic and fun with lots of outdoor seating as well. The... old fashioned was made well with bourbon and was pretty authentic. We got the peppercorn and filet mignon, both were cooked toperfection. The sides were good and appetizing. It was my first time in the Keg as I read many good reviews and the place is known for great steaks. Me and my partner had... scallops in bacon as an appetizer and it was great - I would definitely have it again. For main course, we had our steaks rareand medium, both were cooked to perfection according to our preferences. Old fashioned was prepared pretty well as well. All inall, good was perfect. What could be improved is the service. We visited on a Sunday, November 13th at 3:40 pm and by the endof our meal a fire alarm started, for some time everyone was just confused. And about 10 minutes after someone started to cometo tables explaining that it must be someone in the Sherway mall who pulled the trigger, and it can’t be off unless firemenarrive and then it off. Then it wouldn’t stop for another 10 minutes and we asked for the bill, since it was impossible tostay there. I still left a tip to our waiter, it wasn’t his fault, and especially because everything was great besides thatalarm accident. I think it would be best to offer some sort of compensation for such experience - people don’t come to asteakhouse every day, they probable have a special occasion. So did we. And we wanted to spend a nice evening, talking andhaving a good meal. But it was very loud, and definitely didn’t let us enjoy it enough. Read more
