On a very busy morning, The Original Pancake House did not disappoint! The service was excellent, fast, friendly and... attentive! The menu was expansive, with every type of pancake you can imagine - I had the delicious sourdough pancakes! I alsohad the eggs benedict which was simple but well prepared with real Canadian bacon. I should mention that some of my personalfavorites were not on offer - no chicken fried steak or traditional hashbrowns but I was still delighted with my choice from themany options they do offer! We love this breakfast house. It's delicious. It can be very busy on the weekends and the parking can be kind of a hassle but... it's so good. The atmosphere is fun and the place is spotless. I didn't realize that the Origianal Pancake House has restaurants in other cities, other than that famous flagship restaurant on... Barbour Boulevard. You can ask my family, but I have always said that the best breakfast in all the Portland is the OriginalPancake House and now it's true of these other cities as well. Of course the Dutch Baby is the go to item on the menu, but theamazing truth is the quality of the other items on the menus along side. Their coffee is some of the most balanced coffee I'veever drank, and the quality of their bacon is the best bacon I've ever tasted with perfect text year EVERY TIME! If when you getthere, there's a long line to be seated, do yourself a favor and just wait your turn. You won't regret it.
