What I love about this place is the moment I walk in, I am treated like family. Small family business that is ran by family... members. I love that it offers a great variety of comfort food and southern hospitality. The Chicken Fried Chicken is my to goto, but I surely look forward to Friday's Pot Roast. Real Texas Cafe & we couldn?t even wait to taste it before we took our food pics. Yummy & comforting, the chicken fried steak &mashed potatoes are made in house. I honestly thought the okra was fresh as well. Everything was so good that I sadly did nothave room for any of the homemade desserts. They treated us like family & not just customers. We visited Real Texas Cafe for the 1st time yesterday evening for dinner and were satisfied with the menu offerings. The decor... is nothing extravagant, but the food more than makes up for that. We were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken bya kind young man. There were only two waitresses on duty, so there was a bit of a wait to order, but our food didn't take longto arrive once we had ordered. The entrees for dinner are served with a side salad, rolls, and 2 sides. The salad is nothingfancy but it was good! The entrees were very generous in portion size, and we ended up taking about half home for anothermeal. We did order dessert to go, and that is the only thing I would say was not exactly what I had thought it would be. Thestrawberry pie didn't have a strawberry filling under the topping - it was more of a whipped strawberry filling, and I wasthinking it would have been whole strawberries. Oh well, it was still good! Will definitely be making a return visit. Iwould definitely rank the food alongside CB, just without the store and kitschy decor. Read more
