Being a native of Charlotte, this place caught my eye when I was looking for a spot to eat lunch in the area. I looked online at... the menu and decided to give it a try for something specific I saw. Once i was seated, I was disappointed to find out that theyhave a limited brunch and lunch menu, so the thing I came for wasn't available. Instead, I ordered simple grilled chicken whichturned out to be fantastic. The meal was flavorful and the portions were big. Okay, I've heard about Hornet's Nest, and driven by numerous times. But in my 67 years have never eaten here. Friendly and... courteous staff greeted us as soon as we came. We had loaded potato skins for an appetizer and they were very good. Covered withlots of melted cheese and bacon. We had ours without the onions and peppers that come with these too. We had chicken alfredo,with breaded chicken and "Nest" favorite beef Manhattan. Both were delicious. See the photos. This will be a favorite stop forus from now on. Get out and try something new. The Honey Buffalo Chicken and biscuits were amazing. The hashbrown casserole was Devine. I've never had anything eating out... that tastes so close to how we cook at home lots of pepper and garlic. The staff was super nice and we never had to wait forrefills. Read more

I must say this was a pleasant experience from the waitress and service. The steamed broccoli and wild rice were great and had a... great taste to them. The bruschetta was flaky with a few areas that were harder to eat than others, seemed slightly over cooked.The New York Strip looked amazing but the extra seasoning and herbs and spices added to the butter diminished the taste of thesteak. Toward the center is tasted a bit more medium rare rather than medium as I ordered. Waitress did a good job. Read more
