Great pub in the middle of nowhere. The beer list was top notch with high end selections on tap. I had a great IPA from... Equilibrium out of NY. There were several others I wanted to try as well. The bloody mary was also great. Only tried the buffalochicken dip for food as we just stopped in for a snack, but it was very good. The burgers looked delicious as well. Mostimportant was the super friendly and helpful staff. We were quickly greeted, food and drinks came fast, we were checked onperiodically, and the check was processed fast as we had to run quickly. This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered the chili and a meatball grinder with fries. The... chili was very tasty, nice and thick, and satisfying. We traveled 1,700 miles to for a round of Golf at Fenner Hill in Hope Valley, RI and stopped here for drinks and dinner at the... bar. What a find! In the middle of nowhere but who are these people? This is a six star location, built around a rectangularbar that takes up 90% of the place, a craft brew expert on the premises and whoever the chef is deserves a Michelin star, nojoke. The baked scrod is other-worldly, battered in a light crust we can best guess as cracker soaked in butter— amazing! The Meatball and pasta deserves a restaurant of it’s own, the gravy excellent and the pasta perfectly cooked. The only thingmissing was a diving board. Totally unexpected find! Traveling on our way to the Cape we hopped off the highway looking for a place to eat. We were so lucky... to end up at Cornerstone Pub! It's a casual welcoming place with great service and the best fish and chips we've ever had!!Delicious flaky fish with a perfect batter! Even the fries were great. We will definitely come back on trips passing through thearea and both of us said we'd make a day trip from CT just for the fish and chips! (The piece is huge, this picture does not doit justice.) I have been driving past this restaurant for a long time. It has changed hands a few times over the years. I decided to pop in... for lunch. I was alone and the hostess was reluctant to give me a table and asked me to sit at the bar. I didn't want to sit atthe bar so she said she had a table in the back. I ordered an unsweetened iced tea. At first I thought they had given me water.It was flavorless. The waiter asked if I wanted another one but I had him remove it from the bill. I ordered the Texas burgerwhich came with fries. It had cheddar cheese, bacon, onion rings, and BBQ sauce on it. It was okay but nothing special. Idon't know if I would go back. The waiters did a good job of making sure I had everything. Read more
