My food was decent. Potatoes were actually good. My friends rice was hard as sand. They basically said "oh well" when we brought... it up. I don't why you would serve food like that especially at a busy restaurant. 2 stars because potatoes were good, rest isjust decent. Read more
Lunch speaks were very good, husband had fried chicken and I had pork chops, grilled. Forgot they off 3 sides and bring a huge... biscuit too with lunch specials. I was definitely full when we left. Very pleased with staff who are very friendly andhelpful!! Read more
My wife and I eat at Mr. Spuds at least once a week. The side dishes and veggies are cooked southern style, which are excellent.... As a Friday night treat I had a dozen fried shrimp which were cooked just right. Be sure and request the complimentary potatosoup and fresh baked biscuit in the evenings. Read more
This place is always busy! So for the review seated and ordered quickly for the volume of people. My guest could not decide on a... special and a recommendation was offered and accepted. Bravo so many servers miss this subtle way to help. It?s all about thesurprise honey butter biscuit which was light and fluffy in texture with just the right heft to make a biscuit lover happy! (theking might be dethroned here). I ordered a special country fried steak and three sides. My guests meal came with two sides. Weare currently waiting well maybe not food was quick and looks awesome. I adjusted my original post because there are a coupleneeds improvement I wanted to mention. First I found myself wanting a bun for the country fried steak it was a burger onions andbrown gravy and it left no special place in my heart because I?m used to a light breading on country steak (100?s of places Ihave tried) no breading just threw me off. My Brussel sprouts had no seasoning very bland. Pear cobbler a first and I loved it.Our honey dew was room temp on a hot day. My guest was not hungry and left with the whole meal boxed minus one chicken fingershe said something was sticking out of the batter. I want to come back and try reviewing later because a place this busy has tobe better then what impression we left with. Veteran And socially friendly environment for all and our server was a very nicegentleman.
