I really enjoy this restaurant for their ambiance. Best location around for if you want a good photo. The food is great however... it dependent on the season. Some of their seasonal menu choices are questionable but overall very good. The servers on averageare excellent (Amanda being a personal favorite). The prices (and market prices) are competitive and I would say are fair forthe season. Desserts are 10/10. Drinks are excellent; just be sure to order specifics. Read more

We had a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and seated on the deck. 5 stars for the service and atmosphere, 3.5 stars for the... food. We arrived around 2:30 pm and checked in at the deck-side hostess station. The hostess was friendly, took our informationand estimated a 30 minute wait. We had a cocktail at the back bar where a live band was performing. After about 15 minutes ourtable was ready. We had a nice view of the harbor and I-195 bridge. Our waitperson 'Dee' greeted us and took our drink order ofTito's, cranberry juice with lime, and RI style calamari appetizer. It was quite busy so I was expecting to wait for drinks andthe calamari to be served, but both arrived within 10 minutes, the drinks within five. The calamari was crispy and good butcould have been spicier. We ordered a lobster roll with fries, cup of clam chowder and a house salad. The lobster was fresh buta bit on the bland side, added ground pepper made it much tastier, the fries were crunchy and delicious. The chowder was goodbut arrived warm not hot like I prefer. The salad was fresh and enough for two people. Overall, we had a nice time listening tothe band, enjoyed the view and had a nice meal. We'll be going back to The Cove and trying other items on the menu. Read more

On the way from Newport to Boston, decided to stop at Fall River - The Cove Restaurant and Marina. The location is very nice, on... the bank of the river, with breathtaking views on the bridge and Battleship Cove museum. There was a small valet parkingoutside. They have inside and outside dine in. Had to wait for 30 minutes on a beautiful terrace with chairs. Our seats wereoutside, with high chairs, near the bar. There was live rock music, extremely loud. The waitress was very nice, but we had toyell at each other to hear anything. All the tables are placed very tight, so we could here everything our neighbors weretalking. And we had very bad neighbors, 3 men, using 'F' word every second. It is a seafood restaurant. They have kids menu, andramps for disabled people. I tried appetizers and entree, but can't say that it was something very delicious, just averagefood, not really impressed. But for the staff and views will give 5 stars. Read more

The restaurant was crowded because of mother's day and they limited their manu to a few dishes. One of them was the famous New... England Clam Chowder. This was my first time trying this dish and I had a good impression of it at The Cove. When I first saw awhite liquid in the bowl I thought that the cream was going to overpower the clams but I was wrong, you can actually taste theclams. The texture is well balanced creamy but not too thick, a nice and agreeable seafood flavour. I admit that I would havepreferred it with more clams and maybe just a bit more of spices. I also ordered another well-known dish in Fall River "ShrimpMozambique". When I asked how good it was, the waiters told me it is nice but hot. Believe me when I say it is not spicy, unlessyou bite one of the pepper slices you might possibly feel a bit pinch of hotness in your tongue. Other than that, it was tasty. The shrimps had a good size and I was so glad they came peeled. I would not mix them with the bread, the shrimps have a goodflavour to ruin it with bread. Didn't try any dessert because there was none of the iconic ones of Fall River. Read more

Nice waterfront lunch/dinner venue. We had lunch here on Sunday, no reservation needed and got to sit right by the water. I... had the Fish 'n Chips. The fish was beautifully prepared, light and flaky. If anything I guess it was maybe a little morebattered than I prefer, but in all a great plate. Would also have preferred more Cole slaw and less fries, but it wasn't unlikemany other Fish 'n Chip plates in that ratio. The most standout feature of the plate was that the piece of fish was HUGE (seepic)! My wife had the tenderloin tips on a Caesar salad. We both started with cups of clam chowder and finished by sharing aslice of Oreo cookie cake! We very much enjoyed our lunch! Read more
