I just checked into the Pela Mesa resort very late. Almost midnight. The first room they tried to give me was dirty. The second... room they gave me had a bird inside of it. I called the front desk for almost 20 minutes before the even answered the phone. There is no manager on duty. The front desk girl is asleep at the wheel. They're telling me I can leave if I want. After Itravelled over an hour from the San Diego airport. It's now almost 1 am and they can't get me a new room. The staff here iscompletely incompetent. I can't believe how they treat their customers when they screw up. I would avoid this place at allcosts. FYI, the general manger posted her phone number 29 days ago on another review. I tried to contact her and the number isalready disconnected. My credit card company will be taking over from here for me. Read more

My husband and I got married on 9/30/2022 at Pala Mesa Resort and let me just say our wedding was absolutely amazing. From the... beginning Melissa & Julia were just awesome! They were extremely communicative, organized, professional & really great to workwith. They went above and beyond for our wedding day. We also really enjoyed the process beforehand, they were so excited for usand made everything really easy. Pala Mesa was the best place for our wedding. The location is beautiful, well kept together, clean & very spacious!! Our guests continue to tell us how amazing the ceremony & reception site is. Everyone loved it!! Theservers at our wedding were top notch and professional as well. Everything went so smoothly and if we could do it again we wouldin a heart beat! Another thing we loved was our honeymoon suite and our guests who stayed at the resort loved their rooms aswell. The rooms are beautiful, clean & cozy. We enjoyed our stay there very much as well as our guests. Please consider PalaMesa Resort for your wedding, you will not regret it! Thank you Pala Mesa! Read more

The actual rooms were beautiful and beds were very comfortable. The espresso machine they selected for the rooms was a bit loud... however very tasty. The conference/event rooms we had rented (a total of three) were relatively clean, however there was a mouserunning around while we were there. My main issue with my stay was that the event coordinator specifically asked that there beVegan options because some of the attendees had dietary needs. The particular "retreat" that was being hosted was very intenseand the attendees were not meant to leave the resort (nor did they have time to). The first day there was only a simple saladoption for lunch and no real meal option for dinner. The only dinner item edible was a plain, baked potato with no toppings orcondiments. The event organizers asked the staff to provide options at the next meal time and did what they could to address theissue. The next day at lunch, a few items appeared to be vegan, however were not labeled. The staff was asked to confirm if thesalad dressing and rice was vegan, to which they had to ask the chef and he said yes. It turned out, the dressing was in factnot vegan and made with ranch dressing, which was very upsetting. We now felt we could not trust any of the food, even if weasked. Luckily the trip was short and we had brought snacks, but very disappointed in the level of care from the staff memberson our attendees needs. They were un-professional and when asked to confirm if foods were vegan, they responded with "I don'tknow" and we had to prompt and ask them to confirm with the chef, who clearly also did not care enough to be accurate.
