This was our first time going to the Spring Mills Dairy Queen. We were wondering if they had changed their recipe for their soft... serve ice cream. It does not taste the same. We were both disappointed in what we got. On our drive to Upstate New York we usedto stop at the Dairy Queen near Shamokin Dam PA. The food and the ice cream was always good there. This just does not have thesame taste for some reason. I am sorry to say but we will be waiting for Tad's Dairy Barn to open up so that we can get softserve ice cream there. Read more
I love DQ but this location is struggling and needs some help. The employees were nice but did not have it together. Management... issues would be my guess. It took a very long time to place my order and then a longer than average wait to get it. This wasfrustrating as we were on a long trip and hoping to keep moving. Once I received my order, the cheeseburger meal deal with onionrings was a chicken basket meal with fries. I just went on without saying anything because it had already taken so long. Atleast the sundae was right. The chicken strips were good but the fries were old and inedible and went into the trash. As Istated, I love DQ but this was a bad experience. Read more
They have the full menu (unlike some other nearby locations). However, they close at 10pm year round. They are often out of... ingredients. I have been turned away as early as 9:30pm because they started closing already. The drive thru line backs uppretty far. If you want ice cream and it's before 8:30pm or earlier in spring, summer, or fall. You will be better off going toTad's down the road. Otherwise this place has good food. This is the first time I've been here and likely the last. I got a strawberry cheesecake blizzard and while the flavor was... alright my biggest complaint would be it was pretty messy and overrun and did get through my vehicle. I went inside and it didtake a couple minutes to get to me which wasn't that big of a deal, they looked a little busy with the drivethrough. I believethe team member that helped me was Alana if I saw the name correctly, and she had decent customer service and was the best partof the experience. Read more
