Classic old diner with a huge variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. We had the Hobo Breakfast and the Chicken Fried... Steak. The hobo was good but a little light on corned beef. The steak was excellent - especially the sausage gravy. Fairportions and great prices. Read more
Went in to this Diner Friday around noon with my family, it was my invite and my place of choice. Ordered the food, when the... food came out my mother n laws order was completely work, she ordered roast turkey sandwich with no mayo and no tomatoes, thefirst order that cane out was completely wrong, roast beef with tomatoes and mayo, I sent is back and told them it is suppose tobe turkey not roast beef, and no tomatoes or mayo, the second attempt came out, was turkey but with mayo, so I told the waiterthis is not right either, so he stated he would bring w slices of toast to replace the bread with mayo, but in fact the sandwichhad mayo too, I said are you kidding me? Finally third attempt came out right. They complimented me with a piece of cheesecakewhich is my favorite dessert, but this cheesecake was disgusting. We will never eat there again. Read more

Have you ever driven up in New Jersey and stopped at one of their diner's? You know .. the kind where you lose weight just... lifting the menu. Well guess what ... you don't have to go to New Jersey anymore to get that home-cooked diner meal. Just driveon over to the City Diner Restaurant on Leesburg Pike In Falls Church. Now the menu isn't quite a book, but you'll be lookingat it for a while before you choose a meal. They have a mix of American , Italian, and Greek Favorites. They also have specialson a board as you enter the restaurant. This is a down-home place. The eclectic decorations are fun and will take you back to asimpler time. This time, we went for dinner, and it came out piping hot and delicious. I'm looking forward to the next time --hopefully for breakfast (which is always on the menu.) Highly recommended. Read more

This is a true diner with delicious food. Breakfast served all day. We had the broiled seafood platter which was ok. Fried... zucchini sticks were delicious. Cheese cake was ok. They had other items I will try next. Our waitress was great. Service wasamazing. City diner has a classic diner feel. I need to try other items on the menu. Will be back. Read more
