I grew up in Hawaii eating Poke and yeah this place is legit. Definitely nails many of the elements but also adds more fusion... elements to the health conscious crowd. I particularly appreciated the quality of the fish because eh, poke is all about thefish. The next most important aspect of poke is the marinade. I really can't tell the marinade because the bowl is filled withtoppings and sauce so I don't know where the marinade stops and the dressing begins. Still very good. For the non-seafoodeaters, they have other options like tofu and chicken. That isn't poke, its a rice or salad bowl but still cool to appeal topeople that like the offering but may be vegetarian or not a fan of raw fish. For the poke aspect, they do give you a reasonableamount of fish for the money...about what you would expect. They were fast in preparation and I had it delivered by grubhub inabout 20 minutes. My only gripe is that there isn't much of the other ingredients. Couple pieces of lettuce (and I mean Icould count it on one hand), a small and I mean SMALL spoon of rice, the rest of the add ins were sparse. I mean the real costis the fish...rice and lettuce is cheap, why so sparse on that? Certainly tasty but hardly filling. Would I go back? Absolutelyfor a snack but probably not for lunch because I'm still really hungry. Read more
This meal was truly gross. The salmon had the texture of tuna - it was a strange color and had no fat. The brown rice texture... was like literal cardboard and the rice was clearly very dry and old. The toppings were odd and they didn?t even have sesame oilwhich tells me they don?t make their sauces. I was sick after I ate here. The guy working there was nice so that?s the one star. Read more
Good food and the staff are really nice! The customer service really made this a great experience. The person who served us... answered all our questions about the ingredients & toppings. Then while we were eating, another employee checked in on us, tookour trash, and offered us a sample of the dole whip - which was was delicious. The place was really clean and the food was really fresh. I would have given this place four stars because I felt like the fish... portions or kind of small, however I gave this place five stars because the girl at the register was really nice and she evengave us free ice cream samples. ???? Wow. I have been to many Poke places in the area and this one is the worst. Their scoops of protein are almost non-existent.... Each scoop must be the size of only a tablespoon; that's how small they are. I was shocked when I received my order. On top ofthat, their rice is not even sticky rice! How can you not serve actual sticky rice? Their fish and ingredients didn't tastefresh at all. If you really want great poke bowls, go to Poke It Up.
