I used to love this place but service and the food has declined in quality. It's nearly impossible to order on the phone from... them. Some employees don't speak English, while others mumble, talk in circles, and just make it really hard to order. I orderedone of my dishes without tomatoes and they said they can do it, but then they hadn't removed tomatoes. And the overall flavor ofthe food has declined. Read more

Late night options appeared to be fast food at 9:30pm until Meaza waved at me. We’re they open? Yes. We’ll take a table... outside. A little communication confusion and I eventually ordered two Ethiopian beers and a combo meat and veggie platter withinjera. The best ever. Read more

One of my all-time favorite things about D.C. is the incredible selection of Ethiopian food and shops the city has to offer. I... left the city for a year and a half because of COVID, and the second I came back, I was hankering for a taste of injera and thewhole swath of Ethiopian vegetarian favorites; Meaza absolutely met that craving. I ordered Meaza from UberEats, and the foodwas delivered relatively quickly (after about an hour), and it was all still warm when it arrived at my doorstep. I selected asambussa and the special vegetarian combo, which came with spicy lentils, mashed yellow chickpeas, collard greens, cabbagecooked with carrots and potatoes, potatoes, shiro, and a simple salad. The sambussa was delightful. Even after sitting in itspackaging for nearly 30 minutes as it was transported across Arlington, it was still crispy, and the inner filling wasincredibly flavorful. The vegetarian combo was generally pretty solid; I thought that the lentils, chickpeas, shiro, and collardgreens were all solid and had the perfect level of spice. The other vegetables were still good, but slightly disappointing. Thepotatoes were essentially just plain, boiled potatoes with no seasoning on them whatsoever, except potentially a tiny pinch ofsalt. They were just little white wedges, and I almost didn't realize what they were at first. The salad was effectively justshredded green cabbage with a few slices of jalapeno and a drizzle of white vinegar. It wasn't a standout in the dish, but itwas a nice balance against the incredibly rich flavor that the other dishes had. Read more

Food was very delicious, but despite there not being a crowd, it took about 45 minutes to get our food. The waiter was also not... very friendly to us and didn’t make us aware of any delays. They also did not greet anyone coming through the entrance and hadthem wait around until some decided to leave and not wait any longer. I wish the customer service was better but the food wasexcellent! Read more

Took kids here for their first Ethiopian food ever and they loved it. Delicious food, got vegetarian combo, lamb stew and tibs.... (Lamb was best.) Atmosphere is a little dark, it's set up mostly as a banquet hall. But the food was great. Read more
