Eh, this place has lost its luster and is rather uneventful these days - the performances have been either obnoxious or... lackluster and the bar itself has gotten rid of all the things that made this place worth visiting. Now it's just "let's drinkand try to hear our thoughts as we scream across the table with some less-than-desirable band in the background" And then theyhave doorman still like it's some club everyone wants to get into? Idk... it can have its moments but it just isn't filled withcool patrons and cool bartenders like it used to be. Read more
Great pub. It's dark and woody like what one works expect an Irish pub to be. Great music venue, both on the main floor and... upstairs in The Aquarium. Good place to take a new date during "off hours": it's spacious and the booths are cozy and have highbacks between them, so you can enjoy some level of privacy while still enjoying the overall feel of the place. Went to meet my husband there, as my daughter and I had some shopping to do across the street. The bouncer was very rude when we... tried to enter. We had no idea that she could not come in with us, as I thought food was served there (not familiar with NDlaw). He said to her very sarcastically that "well, yeah, it is a bar and you DO need to be 21." Well excuse us, sir! Way towelcome families from out of town.
