New place to us. Fairly straightforward menu regarding breakfast. Grits were good, omelet was good as well, and had nice portion... of meat with it. Staff was super friendly and appeared to function like a well oiled machine. I did find it a tad pricey forwhat was served. My gf's biscuit, with her biscuit and gravy, was quite possibly a simple canned biscuit which was a little offputting. But we could be wrong. Very local, old diner established in the 1930's. Approachable and honestly, playful older woman was a great waitress. I feel... sure she's been there for many years. The menu is nothing but Southern goodness mostly breakfast items. This is the first timeI've been here. I'll definitely be back. Read more
This restaurant has been around since 1938 and as such has some classic items on the menu, notably their homemade pancakes.... We?ve come here a few times since recently returning to the area. It wasn?t anything special, although we did receive excellentservice. The food quality was okay, and it is a solid breakfast option if you?re looking for sit-down, diner-style meal similarto Waffle House or Lizard?s Thicket (SC franchise) but I?d honestly prefer one of the others above here. OMG!!! We've been in Fayetteville for 3 years and I'm only now learning about this place!!! I LOVE the atmosphere and the 70's... music. There are SO MANY dishes I could talk about but I haven't tried then all yet. Lol First... corned beef and cabbage. WHOSERVES THAT ANYMORE!!! Well that's the first thing I'm trying when we go back. Plus roasted Turkey or chicken with dressing. ANDIT'S NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING!!! Now let's talk about that 7 layer chocolate cake!! WOOHOO!!! Their breakfast menu looks great too.Gotta get back to try that as well. YUMMY!! 5 stars and 2 thumbs WAY UP!!! UPDATE: 7/7 We've been back with family several timesand they all have raved about how good it is. We stopped here after a soccer game for a quick bite to eat. We had three adults and two very hungry children in our party. We... were sat at a booth as soon as we entered. There was a steady flow of people coming and going. The staff stayed on top of it! Igot the country fried steak and it was good. The others had a mix of bacon, toast, eggs. Two had the french toast and said itwas some of the best they had! Our waitress was on top of it especially with how busy she was. This may become our after soccergame stop. Read more
