Went in to have a quick lunch with my grandmother. Took whatever seat they offered. Waitress was fine, friendly and got our... order correct. On the hand we were sat rt next to a table of managers. Two males one female in a black cardigan. She must havebeen GM or district manager. The three of them loudly criticized a female manager that was not present at the time. It was souncomfortable that we just kept staring, hoping they would quit. Then the lady proceeded to talk about the ecosure and healthcode violations in the kitchen! Definitely not appetizing! This kind of talk carried on our entire meal. When the female theyhad been talking about showed up the lady in the black cardigan scolded her in front of the others. It was embarrassing. None ofthose should be done in front of customers. With all of the places to eat in Fenton and Applebees already changing the menuconstantly, it?s not looking like we will be back anytime soon. Ordered ribs. Were cold, had to send them back. The mashed potatoes that friends Ordered were cold. No water brought to table.... Asked for hot sauce, never got it. Broccoli was soooo cold, butter wouldn't melt. The restaurant was empty. I could understandif it was packed. I will never go back. My second bad experience with Applebee's. I'm done. Read more
We came here because all other local restaurants were too busy on a Saturday night. As soon as we walked in the hostess said we... had to wait to be seated due to ?understaffing? using Covid as an excuse for bad service no longer works for me. I?m tired ofit. We are nearing 2023, stop using it! Then we said we would sit at the bar and the man said ?actually you can?t wait at thebar?. No clue why but as soon as we said we were buying drinks it was ok. There were SO many available seats I still have noidea why we had a wait. They had plenty of waitstaff sitting around just talking to each other. The bartender seemed pi$$ed off.Maybe she was too busy but to the point we were afraid to ask her for our bill! We finally get a seat and the lights above werethese blaring ?hot lamps? that were beating down on you making it uncomfortable. Then the food? ordered the Prime Rib. Only fourbites were edible . It had so much fat I bagged it for my dogs. It tasted microwaved is the best way to describe it. The wingslooked like they took a ladle and poured sauce over them instead of stirring them into a sauce then baking them. Pasta was dryand flavorless. My son had Salmon which he said was ok, hence two stars instead of one. There is a reason it?s the only placeopen on a Saturday night. My bill came to about $85 with tip and I wish I hadn?t wasted my money. I guess I should say ?Covidmade money an issue?. Seems to work for everyone else for poor service. Read more
