Wow this place was terrible. I?m a Japanese man who has had countless experiences at Japanese restaurants, but this was by far... the worst Japanese restaurant I?ve had in years. Do not eat the ramen. The tonkatsu ramen was tasteless. No seasoning or anyflavor. Pork was undercooked. And the price point was $16.50 if you chose to get any meat with it. No idea why. It shouldn?t beon the menu. 2nd. The sushi was not fresh. Not good. $3.75 per not fresh nigiri is not it. 3rd the sesame udon was very good, but that sauce will put you on the toilet for hours. I don?t know if it was due to the old sushi, the tasteless ramen, or thethick seasoning of the dry udon, but I was on the toilet retching for 2 hours. Our waiter was nice though. Man with glasses anda vintage cap on his head. Never going back though. Stay away from this place. They?re wannabe Japanese cousine. Read more

All star ratings are for the bathroom, not the establishment. Sakana has a big open are at the backbof the restaurant with... couches and low tables. It's a decent place to cozy up next to a date and have some sushi... except for the fact that thebathrooms are nearby, and with open doors (during my visit) Mens: 2 urinals and 1 stall. The Urinals do have a divider, buteverything looked like your old high school art class. Strange old countertop in a strange old yellow. It was clean andstocked, but it felt like the room they kept saying "we'll renovate those next year" It will work if you really needed to go,but I'd be a little self conscious if there were people hanging out on the couches back there. The service was good . The sushi was tasty- we had a cooked & raw roll. Our cocktail tasted okay. We probably should have just... gotten sake instead of getting a cocktail with sake in it. My husband got the beef Ramen I got the Miso, and it was soincredibly Bland. I could not taste any sort of seasoning, it was like warm slightly salted water. And broth is the mostimportant part of ramen. I added an egg and it was overcooked. The yolk was completely firm. After a few bites I opted to bringthe rest home so that I could doctor it up. The fact that it was nearly empty on a Friday night should have been our clue. Iwould definitely get sushi from there again but not the ramen. Read more

I have been to this place at least three times and I finally got to dine in and what can I say? The ambience is cozy and dark.... It is t a large place but that works to it's benefit. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was practically ours toenjoy. The drinks were amazing. The lycee Iced Tea was my drink and it was sweet, understanding the assignment. The sushi wehad was the Spicy Girl, the Super Dragon, Daddy's Girl, and the Tiger roll. They were divine! We will be coming back to trythem all. Side Note: Carryout from here is really good! The food was good and the flavor too but the quantity of the plate or what you order is not relative to what you pay. The pic of... the sushi are 2 orders. my spicy girl arrived with 5 slices of sushi but the flavor was good. The desert was excellent. Read more
