Cute restaurant, friendly staff, and good food. Everything but 1 item on the menu is vegan, and you can get dairy cheese if you... want. Definitely recommend if you're vegan or vegetarian, eating with folks who are, or just want tasty food that happens to beplant based. So many choices! It's not a big space but they were able to accommodate our party of 9 with no problems. Andthere's a cute little patio out back. We will definitely be going back. Read more
Spacecat is now open for indoor dining service! We have regularly ordered takeout since they opened and everything looks amazing... on a plate instead of a takeout box. I especially love how the veg proteins are made in house and not just frozen pucks otherrestaurants use as a meat substitute. All the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about any ingredient questions I have. Read more
It's a lovely place. The food took nearly an hour so that was infuriating. I ordered the vegan cheeseburger burrito with gluten... free tortilla, fries with cold salad, and vinaigrette. When it finally arrived it was hot and pretty good. The GF tortilla wasterrific, but the burrito wasn't cheesy enough. The fries were fresh and delicious. The long wait was extra excruciating becauseI recently threw out my back. So I was hoping for fast service. Love this place! I love the art inside and the playful, kitty-cat cool vibe. I?m vegan and live across the street and for some... reason have never stopped in before today, which is crazy considering I love cats and everything on the menu looks delicious! Soglad I decided to give it a try. I got the Frisky Fat Cat ^_^ which was a super yummy burrito on special, with potatoes, blackbeans, red onion, garlic greens, jalapeños, vegan cheese and poblano cashew cream ???? It was so good!! Hope they bring thisspecial back because I will definitely be coming in again very soon! (Side note, they also have a bulletin board by the entrancewhere you can post pictures of your pets. This place is so refreshing!! Especially after the pandemic, the metro Detroit area has lost many vegan/veggie restaurants (and... there wasn't many to begin with). And most of the places left just have impossible and beyond. So to find this place that makesnearly everything from scratch is awesome!!! I wish it was full vegan, but nearly everything is vegan (unless you ordersomething with chicken eggs). Either way I will definitely support this business! The hours are short and closed Monday andTuesday so sometimes I wanted to eat here but it was closed when I happened to be in the area. I'm glad I finally got to trythough!! Could quite possibly be the best vegan breakfast items in metro Detroit! The sausage jalapeño biscuit sandwich seemedmore filling and had more on it than the chickn' & waffle sandwich. I'd definitely order it again!! The sausage seitan wasreally good!! So rare to find places that make seitan from scratch so it's a really treat!! I can't wait to try more items!
