The Emory is a GEM. The prices are unbeatable. The wait staff has gotten way better. I have to echo Robert's review when I say... the fried chicken sandwich is delicious and should be a regular occuring menu item. Their Emory burger is by far the best inOakland county. We have been to the Emory about once a month since landing in Ferndale about six months ago. This past Friday we tried their... Fried Chicken Sandwich special. Now, because of this, we have had the chicken sandwich special 3 days in a row and can?t stop.I?m worried for my potential weight gains and big smile on my face while I eat it leaving stretch marks but I just can?t stop. The Emory has been hit or miss with service in the past, but we have had sweet waiters lately that genuinely care about theirguests. You can tell they have improved on this front. Great atmosphere, great cocktails, and great prices. Can you believethe fried chicken sandwich special is only $10? With fries INCLUDED? We used to like coming to the Emory and sitting outside with our dogs but we will not be going back there now. The service was... always slow in the past but it has gotten way worse now. My husband and I went on a Sunday evening and it was slightly busy whenwe got there but not packed. We ordered truffle fries and burgers, a very simple order. We waited for well over an hour whileour waiter just kept coming by infrequently to say that the kitchen was working on it and that our food would be right out.After about an hour and a half of sipping patiently on just our drinks and not getting any of our order, we finally gave up whenour server again told us our food would be out soon. We told him that we were very upset with the service and that we wereleaving. The waiter didn?t even apologize or offer anything to help make our poor experience there better. Great menu and drinks! But under staffed & everyone seemed to be a little stressed / making errors. Went on a Saturday mid... afternoon so figured they would anticipate the rush. We were a large group so I may try again without such a bug group. Worth atry! Bloody Mary bar was great!! Read more

First time today. To be fair, it is a nice space. However, we were switched between 2 servers, one of which seemed to be the... bartender and had a dry personality. Either that or she didn't want to be there. The food was good but very similar to otherestablishments [Like Honest?John's in Detroit] and far more expensive. Our tab was likely $20 more than somewhere else justbecause of its location. $7 is too high for an order of sweet potato fries, period. For that reason and the disposition of thestaff, I doubt I'll be back. I'm glad I tried it though! The impossible tacos were amazing. Read more
