I ordered a birthday cake and I got the Unicorn one. I requested it to be as pink and purple as possible. It was just that and... the birthday girl loved it! The decorations were awesome and the cake was an absolute hit. The butter cream frosting wasdelicious and it was very well received. I have never been disappointed with any of their products! My daughter and I stopped in this afternoon after hearing about it at another local restaurant. It's such a cozy cafe. The staff... was also very friendly. We had sandwiches and then took a loaf of Italian bread to go. The tuna salad sandwich did notdisappoint. My daughter's sandwich was a bit too much for her so I got half of that one too. This is a perfect place to do lunch with friends and then go to the bakery and bring home sweet treats. We ordered our salads... and sandwiches from the friendly staff and then took it upstairs to eat. The food was fresh and tasty and I just loved the oldstyle charm of the place. No one rushed us out of there so we sat and talked for quite a while. We each bought yummy pastries tobring home. We will be back! Read more
I stopped by Helfer's Pastries this morning right about sunrise. They are usually known for their cakes, pies, and decorated... cookies but I learned they also sell donuts! I was pleased to see that they have a couple styles of incredibly soft and tastydonuts! Their jelly filled and custard filled are some of my favorites on the tour so far! I was told they have apple fritterson Fridays so you know I'll be back to get one of those!
