When I walked in, the place was almost empty. I thought maybe my friends and I were lucky for getting in before the rush. We... were celebrating. My friendd were running behind so I wanted to grab a nice table. The waiter said " sit anywhere." There were 3tables being used with 16-20 tables being estimated in total and this is not including the outside seating area. I went to sitat a table top of 5. There was expected to be 3 of us altogether, the waiter instantly said, "you can't sit there." Because therestaurant was just about empty I did not understand why and to add insult it was said loud enough that for the family's therethey stared as I embarrassingly had to find another table (7 people looked up from their meals). I opted to wait in my car untilmy friends showed up. When we did get seated I had to ask for a straw, as the waiter ignored me 3 times with still only 3-4family in the restaurant now. I could hear others conversations so the music had not been blasting. He was being rude. I had torun and flag someone else down to get a straw after 10 minutes of trying to the my waiter's attention. The woman that broughtthe water seemed nicer, but the male waiter seemed irritated and as if I was a bother. Those interactions made us get nachos andwith me feeling uncomfortable I didn't want anything else (felt like I did not trust it) - left most of the loaded nachos onplate. We tipped and left. We always try to tip because we understand that's how people live, the food was over-priced but for agood meal we don't mind. But that was not worth it. Went home made food. Would never go there again. Service is a big part ofeating at a restaurant. When a waiter is nasty, who knows what people do to food when they think their customer is being a pestor they themselves hate their jobs. The whole time there were no more that 4 tables used at a time but they limited seatingareas!? Read more

Food was nasty and portions small. Scallop ceviche was NOT ceviche or multiple scallops. Was 1 scallop thinly sliced on some... greens with sliced onions amd mangos.VERY disappointing. Shrimp.tacos had burnt pieces of either what was left on the pan oranother dish. Also very disappointing. Shrimo.were on smaller side. Covered w a bunch of toppings to make seem like more thanwhat is. Comes w side of rice and beans. Barely any beans and rice was not typical Mexixan rice. Not a lot of flavor. Only ate afew bites. Not worth the calories. Beans couldve used more liquid. Dry. At $21 EXTREMELY overpriced. And not very flavorful. They have chicken tacos on the appetizer menu BUT waiter said they were fried whole and then served. And cant substitute chickenfor other meats. Crab quesadilla very small esp.for what charge. Very cheesy. Nit bad but not wow either. Friend had choppedsteak which was undercooked for her liking so she didnt really eat. Other friend had ribeye which looked really good. $43. Askedwaiter for a napkin, never brought it ...went and retrieved from another table. Wont serve "free" margarita until place ordersand only get a free margarita with an entree order. Only classic. No flavors. BYOB which should be more prominently highlightedin advertisements and when people call to make reservations. Wouldve been nice to know to better plan for dinner. Parking lotnot very big. Was pretty full although restaurant was not. Outdoor and indoor seating. Building surrounded by pretty sunflowers. Read more

Tamarindos is one of the best places to eat in the area - it's outside of what a lot of people think of about Central or South... American cuisine, but incredibly delicious and flavorful.
