Menu for Salerno Restaurant in Flower Mound, TX

The restaurant is very nice. The bread and salad was delicious. I was disappointed in my diner. I ordered eggplant parmigiana... with spaghetti. The eggplant was cut 1/4 inch thick and to me, under cooked. It was hard and chewy. I could understand whyeggplant is not on many people's list of "favorite vegetables". The spaghetti was too al dente to my taste and had a buttergarlic dressing which I found lacked any flavor. I had the waiter put some marinara sauce on it to give it some taste. Thisreview of course, is only my opinion, coming from and Italian New Jersey girl. I'm used to eggplant sliced a lot thinner,battered and fried until it is soft. Every dish I order and I've ordered a different one each time I've eaten here, has been delectable and very satisfying. I visit... my mother in Hickory Creek once every 3 months from Washington state and I always make sure to eat at least one meal each time Icome. Sometimes twice. Read more

Recently attended dinner with 30 friends at Salerno's. The service was wonderful. Very attentive to our group and met all of our... request. Food was delicious. We didn't feel rushed and they provided individual checks for each couple. All in all, it was agreat experience. Thanks, Mike! Read more

This review is going to sound dramatic but I really do love this place that much. I can never eat at a different Italian place... without pining for Salerno?s. This place is an iconic staple for my family. They?ve catered my family members birthdays, both mysiblings weddings and have been our go-to dinner place for years. It?s always been owned by the same people and many of theservers, hosts, etc. have been working there for as long as we?ve been going there (aka forever). The food is incredible. Youknow it?s good when the free bread and oil they bring out even blows your hair back. Their house salad made me believe invegetables as a child. Their pizzas are amazing. Thin crusts are just the vehicle for the best sauces, cheeses and toppingsyou?ll ever taste. Lasagna night is a delight. Deann?s cannelloni is universally beloved (ordered half Alfredo, half succasauce). Their spaghetti and meatball is just plain old good and right. Everything is made from classic, family recipes. I?m agood cook and could make most of this stuff on my own but I could never replicate the distinct flavors of Salerno?s. Read more
