I'll usually try my culinary tastings at an independent restaurant over a corporate location...typically it's because you can... expect either something great, or learn a lesson on where not to eat. The good: homemade pizza offerings which are aboveanything you would find at a corporate location. They send it with scissors to "cut it yourself", which I think is intended togive you an experience...however, my guests were not so keen on the idea, but I'm not going to hold that against theDropout. The not-so-good: The Dip (pictured below). This is supposed to be a lobster and shrimp dip (similar to the artichokedip). It was tasteless, or rather tasted more like cheese and cream. If it is made in house, I'd recommend that they add more ofthe lobster to give it that unique flavour that it's meant to have based on the description in the menu. The blah: The wings arenothing special, so save your money. That said, the place appears popular as it got busier as the evening progressed. Great place to check out! Staff were very nice, the restaurant was clean, and it was a fun atmosphere. Food was very good! The... beef short rib was amazing! The burger was ok, possibly overcooked. We ordered the bacon smash but they brought the classicburger, not a big deal. The truffle fries were yummy. I recommend getting The Dip, creamy and cheesy with lobster and shrimp butnot heavy at all! Such a good app. Read more
