I'm reluctant to even leave a review for Golden Chopsticks because we do order take out from this place on occasion. It's not my... husband's and I favorite Chinese restaurant because the food quality isn't consistent. But when we don't want to travel 40 milesone way , and hungry for Chinese we would order from here. Now our last order both of us got the combination fried rice. Nomatter what Chinese restaurant we go to, I always order the fried rice , my husbands main dish varies. Anyway, we had no issuesordering, with the pick up , and received the right dishes we ordered. As we sat down and was eating about half way thru myfried rice I noticed there was a lot of oil at the bottom. So much oil I was able to get a spoonful of the oil, and not just onespoonful. I showed and commented to my husband about how much oil was used. He agreed and added that it wasn't as good as othertimes. Needless to say we didn't eat all of it, actually we had eaten about half, because of so much oil. Unfortunately what wedid eat had it's negative effects later. I woke up in the middle of the night with nasty sour stomach with awful smelly eggburps. By morning along with the sour stomach, I had diarrhea. This lasted for two days. My husband had upset stomach, not tothe extent of sour stomach, but he had diarrhea as well the next day. This has happened one other time. I do have many years inthe restaurant business and I know for fact that older oil on the verge of becoming rancid does cause the sour stomach anddiarrhea. In a nutshell, bottom line, I'm saying is the quality of food isn't consistent. I wanted to give a better review butover the years that we do order from here the food is either really good, fair, or not good. Read more
