From the moment we walk in to the door, the service was awesome. They were very accommodating to where we could sit, first we... said inside, then outside and they worked with us. The menu looks so good so we were excited to try all these different choices on the menu. Best thing was the shrimp and grits. ... The drinks were horrible well what we ordered. However when our food came it didn't taste as good as it looked. Then after wewere trying to pay our bill by our phone or waitress said that we could pay her instead. I asked for a receipt. She took a longtime to come back with our receipt so called her over when I asked her about it she said oh someone most likely threw it away inthe garbage. Came with a party of 5 for an early birthday celebration. The atmosphere was very nice, food was decent and priced average but... the service was lacking a little. In her defense she was the new, the other girl who was helping/training her did a great job.We ordered the crab doughnuts,dates, lobster toast and it was Thursday so we got 3 free oyster with ever martini purchase. Tried Rivertail for dinner and enjoyed our experience. The environment was open and energetic - with lots of fans on the patio... to keep you cool. We started with the crab donuts appetizer which was a unique combination of both sweet and spicy. We followedthat up with the Rivertail chowder which was actually my favorite part of the meal - it is a creamy seafood chowder with baconand topped with a puff pastry (they had me at puff). We chose the shrimp spaghetti as our entree. It was a great dish; however,the shrimp were a tad over cooked. Not sure if that is common but was our experience. Overall experience was good but myexpectations on the cuisine was not quite met but again it may have just been an off night. I wouldn’t rule it out just yet. Read more

Went here for date night, perfect choice! The food, drinks and service was great. Stephanie was our server and did an amazing... job. She gave great recommendations of menu item and was patient with us trying to order everything from the menulol. Definitely recommend the grilled octopus. Going back soon to try the crab doughnuts and cornbread. Read more
