Food was TOP notch, fresh, and delicious!!! I am so happy that I live close enough now to order more often. Had a party and... everyone was raving about the quality and the taste. The people working here were accommodating to our needs and were veryfriendly. 10/10 recommend! Read more

This is the first one star I have ever rated on Google map. I used to be a big fan of AKASAKA based on my previous experience.... Today I recommend it to my friends and we ordered the large sushi and sashimi combo plate. We picked up the food and went to myhome. But we found the salmons in both sashimi and sushi are stink. We 5 people all 100% sure that the salmons are notfresh. Then I called AKASAKA. I explained to the lady who picked up the phone about the issue. Without any apologies, She askedme what do you want? And She told me all she can do is to ask me to go back to AKASAKA next day and she will replace the salmonpieces for me. I told her I don?t want to come tomorrow, can you deliver it to me since it was the restaurant?s fault to sellunfresh fish to the customer. Or can I just get the money back only for the salmon pieces. But she rejected. TBH, I did notcare about the refund nor replacement of the fish. All I want is to let them know the fish are not fresh and an apology fromAKASAKA. However, Through all our conversations, I did not feel any sorry from her nor any apologies. At the end I told her Iwon?t come next day and I will never order from them again. Tonight I got texts from two of my friends who had dinner with me.They all said they feel uncomfortable after eating the sushi and sashimi from AKASAKA. All above is my real experience. I?llnever order from AKASAKA again and I don?t recommend it to anyone. Read more

This is definitely a one time place. Now I know I really should pay attention to negative reviews. They are there for reasons.... No one patronizes an establishment intending to give a bad review, they do it with expectation of great experience of theirproduct or services. Having said that, I even let them know I am new to the area and this is my first time ordering. Maybe Ishould have lowered my expectations? I have never had "Deluxe Sushi" consisting of only four types fish. Typical of tuna, salmonand two white fish of rather low grade. Usually expect to see eels, shrimp, squid if not more but was I wrong! Oh, one thingthat turned me off even more was the fish was warm to touch. Simply put, this was not worth the container it was placed in. Aone time place indeed. Dispointed...... Read more

Great sushi platters! We?ve gotten the sushi and rolls platters numerous times, all days of the week. The fish is always fresh... and flavorful. Our extended family always asks for sushi from here for family gatherings. We?ve tried other sushi takeout in thearea but we always come back to Akasaka. Read more
