I was very excited to try this place as I have only heard great things I came in and the food smelled great and looked great.... The young woman that helped me at the front was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately when I went to order a young man behindher had told her I couldn?t order. He seemed upset that I had asked for a changed on one of the dishes. I asked if I could getthe yellow rice instead of white rice. I told them I didn?t mind paying extra or if it cannot be done to buy it separately. Inthe end he said no. This seemed very odd? the young man seemed very upset with me I felt uncomfortable and just walked out. Thisis a hostile place I did not feel welcomed. He was very confrontational. Here?s the pros &... cons from our 1st & only visit: PROS: immaculately clean, friendly service, food LOOKED awesome, chorizo was tasty, dippingsauce was really good, chicken wrap was tasty CONS: Colombian Platter (pictured)?steak was not well seasoned/flavorless &overdone but not burnt (unless u like well done) & since it was a lean cut it made it tough, Chicharon (fried pork belly) wasalso over done & flavorless/not well seasoned. Empanadas (small corn meal crust style)?meat inside was mush, no flavor, wouldnot have known it was beef if not told so before I ordered. What happened to the original staff and chefs!! They were absolutely FANTASTIC!! I went there last night at 7:15p; Literally... felt like my business was an inconvenience. Okay they close at 8p. I completely understand I was cutting it close. The food wasterrible! Yucca, Chorizo Sausage was over cooked! Plantain was especially hard! Completely not what we are accustomed to. We didn't know what to expect but so glad we stopped in. Feels family-owned and forced you to show down a bit and enjoy the... food.
