First time customer. We did an online order. Was estimated to be completed at 235p. We ended up getting our food around 255p. We... were offered free dessert for having to wait extra for our order to be completed. The chicken tenders were a hit with my girlsand they loved the curly fries and mac n cheese. It's been a few years since we visited. It was so good then, pre Covid, I wanted to make sure it was still good. It is. It's a... good example of down home cooking. The chicken and sides were wonderful. We ate a piece of in restaurant chocolate cake and wasgreeted with a mouthful of Non organic ingredients. The cake blasted my wife and I into a sugar rush. Evacuation though theymade it in house it was made with outside ingredients, it was not pleasant. We have to travel several hundred miles to eat here,We will go back. Read more

It is currently the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Lee County.Ihad chicken Livers /fried green tomatoes / and green beans. This is a local's favorite. The restaurant is not located downtown but a little down the street. You can easily see the sign... from the street. I liked the dinner rolls. They were light and tasted great. The corn muffins tasted good also. You get abasket with both with your meal. I ordered the country fried stake. It came with two sides. I chose fried okra which I likedand a potato and bacon soup. The soup was good. It was nice and creamy. The country fried stake was overdone . It tasted okaybut a little dry .
