We really enjoyed the experience. Food was good and the view was awesome.
We saw drifters on our way through Pierre but didn't have time to stop for a full meal, so we decided to give it a try on our... way back through and couldn't have been happier with the view of the river at sunset. My wife and I both thought that atmospherewas comfortable and the wait staff was quite friendly. The dining area was quite full and a little loud for my liking but thefood was delicious and our drinks were nice and cold. Drifters will definitely be on the menu the next time that we had West onhighway 14. Read more
Good view of the Missouri. Clean. Decor is nice. Safe place for the adult tourists. Food is okay, as is the service ? nothing... special. Burgers are never good ? dry and overcooked ? such a shame as they are good at seasoning and toppings. Good beerselection. Though okay for kids I wouldn't recommend it as a family place. I really want to like Drifters, but has never feltparticularly inviting or comfortable to me. Read more

Beautiful setting and view. Waiter was overwhelmed with too many setatings in his section. He assured us it was Happy Hour,... even gave us the Happy Hour menu, however we were charged full price on our ticket. He assured me I could order my burgermedium rare. It came very well done and it was the TINIEST burger I've ever seen served in a restaurant. Waiter came back toexplain that the kitchen does NOT cook to order. I had him take it away and off the bill. Waitress who delivered the food hadto be asked for silverware, napkins and ketchup. She never returned with the ketchup, but since I had eventually returned theburger, that point became moot. My husband's Chef Salad was decent. Just a bit of a disappointing experience. Read more
