My husband and I had a long drive home and were craving Chinese food. We called HOH and our order was to be picked up at 7, which was perfect because we were about an hour away from home. Being new to the Fort, we?re still getting used to the restaurants in town, this is one we will not be going back to. We may as well have thrown $70 in the trash. The chicken fried rice had pieces of ?chicken? in it, but it looked and tasted like rubbery pieces of fish. The chow mein tasted burnt and the shrimp inside were also rubbery and tasteless. We also ordered sweet n sour chicken balls, which you expect to be the deep fried balls but it came as sweet n sour pork. And the beef in the beef n broccoli looked almost grey. The only edible thing we actually felt comfortable eating, was the green onion cake. Having said all of that, the staff were super friendly, and it looked clean in the restaurant so they can have 3.5 stars for that, but the food was not worth the money, and I only hope we don?t get sick.
I?ve lived in the fort for 3 years and this is our go to Chinese food! We love everything about it; chowmein, fired rice and meat dishes are always amazing. Thanks for always good service!
My wife and I just ordered take out from this place and we will never order here again. ordered dinner for two and substituted beef and greens for lemon chicken the chicken was so rubbery that it could not be eaten and to be perfectly honest the rest of the meal was not very good either you would think in times like we?re in they would be putting out amazing food or at the least trying to!
I purchased a bunch of dishes from this place. But the worst was lemon chicken. Rubbery, deep fried chicken that comes with lemon sauce to pour on the chicken if you could call it that, the whole dish was in edible. The sweet and sour pork wasn?t very good either. We ate some of the food such as the chowmein, and fried rice but threw the rest out. Waste of money. Not going to complain to them as I don?t think that will help. Just won?t go back. Avoid.
Well, this place sure has gone downhill. Not sure if it has changed owners or what.. Got a take out Deluxe dinner for 2, as well as dry ribs last night. Good god, it was terrible (and pricey)! The beef and greens protion was salty, had almost no beef and the greens (cabbage/broccoli etc) were almost a grey color. The special fried rice had a burnt taste and only 1 small piece of shrimp in the whole container, almost nothing over plain fried rice. The deep fried shrimp were almost 100% batter, teeny tiny shrimp hiding inside an inch of batter. The egg rolls were just machine made ones fried after being covered in a thick batter to give the appearance of a nice hand made egg roll. The deep fried dry ribs were just that...overcooked and dry. Lots of fat and no garlic at all. The food wasn't good fresh, so no left-overs, 3/4 of order in the garbage. Will drive to Edmonton for Chinese food from now on. Really wanted to give 1 1/2 stars. If you say the food is good here, you were born without taste buds..sorry
We had heard from a friend that HoH was under new management and so we decided to give it another try - we were not disappointed! The ginger beef was excellent, as were the Singapore noodles. And the chicken fried rice was the best we?d had in many years! Everything was so good we went back less than a week later, and our selections were once again delicious! Looking forward to dining in next time, when circumstances permit.
Best Chinese food in town by far. All the food was fresh, hot, flavourful, not overly greasy, a good price, and came quicker than the estimated time. Will definitely order again and recommend to others.
Delicious food! Probably the best Chinese food in Fort Saskatchewan..? "Personally, I'd recommend trying the Peach Shrimp, and I love their Ginger Beef..!" Also a great place to for birthdays or anniversaries! Our server was friendly, intuitive and totally on the ball!!!?
