My husbands work truck broke down on Soldier Rd and I had to come get him. Rather than drive over an hour home and come back... early Saturday morning, we stayed in a motel. Looking for a hometown cafe we found Nu Grille. So very good on all counts so Igave them a 5. Biscuits and gravy were great, hubby had the two egg breakfast and was pleased with it too. Wait staff was good,everyone friendly, even customers coming in as we were leaving. The only bad thing about this place?they are too far from hometo visit very often! Otherwise, we would be regulars. We were super excited to try this place on our way to visit our daughter. Our experience was very disappointing and not at all... like the reviews we read. The service was unwelcoming to say the least. Our server was more interested in gossiping at the drinkstation & being on her phone than being at work. We thought the food would be great even if the service was terrible. We werevery wrong about that. Nothing we ordered tasted fresh or made to order. Greasy and tasteless. I would recommend skipping thisplace and trying something else in Fort Scott. Read more
Had a pretty good double cheeseburger and onion rings. 4 adults and 1 kid and everyone liked the food. Prices are pretty good... for what you get. A lot better than going to a fast food restaurant and it's in the same price range. Read more

First time I ate here was great, I dined in first time. This time I did carry out and it was aweful. The Philly was nothing... like I had at dine in, Peppers and onion were almost nonexistent. Onion rings were soggy and gross, French fries were cold,mushrooms were good. They absolutely need to work on the carry out experience. The stacking and packing was a fail.
