Everything I had was delicious. Hushpuppies had a nice spice to them, fried apples were sweet, sweet potato I added honey and was delicious. Chicken was hot and juicy. Only thing was understaffed so took forever to get food.
I just ate here and not only was the food very, very good. My waitress Renee gave me the red carpet treatment. She was patient with us with the menu because we haven't been here before, so it took a little while for us to order. When asking her questions about how much food was an item to was the gumbo spicy. She never hesitate and gave me an accurate detail on what I would expect if I order a particular item. Most of the time in life nowadays when it comes to reviews, people are quick to complain. This review is far from that! Thanks Renee, it was a pleasure!
We brought 30 people here for my Parents' 50th wedding anniversary tonight. We reserved the room for them about 2 months ago. This was a great experience. Great food, great staff. I'm looking forward to coming here again. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!
I ordered the Mediterranean chicken salad and fried pickles. The salad was VERY fresh, and delicious. Even the cherry tomatoes were delicious (I?m very picky about tomatoes and often don?t eat them because of being picky. The fried pickles are chips, with light, seasoned breading. Yummy!
Went for lunch and ordered the full rack of ribs and the red beans and rice and it all tasted fantastic. Also had a gin martini which completes to the bartender because it was made just right , which I've had a terrible time finding at many other places . Also, the atmosphere and wait staff, were right on par for the occasion. Definitely a nice lunch all together even though it is a tad farther to drive . Will be doing it again very soon .
The service was excellent. The dining room looked and kinda smelled dirty. The outlet on the wall above our table was extremely dirty and dusty, the screen thing was covered in grease and grime. Our table also had a napkin dispenser that was covered in other visitors meals. The prices for the food we got was steep for a sit down place with fast food. The coleslaw was room temperature, it would have been lovely if it was cold. The bread pudding appears to be reheated in the microwave causing it to have uneven heat throughout, the praline topping was awesome! The ?French cake? or whatever it was called was a literal waffle it was not explained as such on the menu. The fries were amazing and crispy. The meal as a whole was lackluster at best. I might revisit.
It is a great place to eat. It is a Cajun based restaurant with great food. They have a bar area tv's they have a patio and they do karaoke on some nights. I think we found our new favorite place to eat.
I just had the most amazing lunch. My wife and I shared the flat iron steak, baked sweet potato and a cup of seafood gumbo. I walked right in with no wait sat down at a freshly sanitized table and Renee took great care of us from start to finish. She helped us decide on the bacon waffle fries for appetizer, they were great but I almost filled up on them. With almost no wait at all our food came out, exactly like we ordered it. The steak was a great cut of meat, seasoned perfectly and grilled to the most perfect medium rare I have ever seen. The gumbo was not the best I've ever had but I lived on the gulf coast and my wife makes the best in my opinion. That being said, the gumbo was pretty good, steak was over the top, service was second to none, thanks Renee. I'll be back to try more from the very long menu. O and the bread, I will be having more of that.
