I would give this place more stars but quality of beef on 1-5 is a 3, lettuce on 1-5 is a 2 and tomatoes on a 1-5 is 3. A few... times I came in the lettuce was brown (not fresh)and tomatoes not so fresh either. Meat quality could be better. I attachedimages of lettuce and tomatoes. Rice is not bad though. I went back to give this place another try but the bottom line is theyuse very cheap quality beef that ends up being chewy and very low end chicken as well with lots of fat left on it. They surelydon?t buy and use Jidori breast chicken meat and surely don?t buy and use Prime Beef or Wagyu beef for their dishes. Meats usedare average if not a little below average then rely on sauces to cover up or make up as Americans love sauces lol.. Then eventhe sauce is average. I went back and the lettuce used is still brown ??????????????? Lettuce and Romaine lettuce are not thatexpensive these days. 3 stars is generous. Read more
Ikram Grill is always busy for a reason. The Turkish food is so well prepared and delicious. The Donor Schwarmas for chicken... and beef is tasty and topped with tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, cheese, French fries and tasty dressings. This has been on my list for a long time. Ever since I had my first Doner in Germany I?ve been on the hunt for a good... Doner. The service is great. We told them it was our first time and they took time to let us know what the ingredientswere. The sandwich is huge and very filling. We ordered the Mixed Meat Pide and an Ikram Special with mixed meat as well. TheIkram Special is also huge and filling. We were stuffed with those two orders between the two of us. By far the BEST in Mediterranean/Turkish food, which is not an easy thing to be best at in SouthernCalifornia. Go with the chicken, it?s cooked to perfection with little char on the outside and just juicy and flavorful,well-seasoned in. I opt for the plate which includes rice and salad, and their peppered veggies to really bring out the flavorin the meat more.
