This place was great. It's not very big so go at off times to get a seat without waiting. I'd give 5 stars but it's really... expensive. Price drop of about 25% would feel more in line with what you're getting but the whole town is a big tourist trap soI get it. They have good German beer here and the soft pretzel is the largest I've ever had. You could make a meal of of justthe pretzel. Will prob go back for beer and pretzel. They don't have spaetzel here. Only place to get spaetzel is Bavarian inn. Read more
Plenty empty tables on a Saturday night. Pleasant staff. Friendly host. Server let our waters go empty twice as we ate our... salt-heavy meals (evidently we were walking around Frankenmuth a lot and needed to hydrate). The waitress ignored us,heavily. The chicken is absolutely delicious! The veggies were seasoned and cooked nicely, and fries were good. The brisketsandwich however was pathetic. The two nice strips of bacon out-balanced the amount of brisket (see photo). I'll not returnhere at my next German town visit. I will make reservations elsewhere. We got there about 30 minutes before closing. We didn't want to be "those people" so we double and triple checked that it was... cool to get a table. They were extremely gracious and sat us immediately. The food was pretty darned good. We had what issupposed to be their world famous Frankenmuth chicken. Honestly, it lived up to its reputation, it was pretty good. The porkschnitzel on the other hand? Magnificent! Read more
Service was excellent and that's the only positive I can say. Chicken was ok, not great. Schnitzel was dry and flavorless,... potato dumplings were what tastes like boxed deep fried potatoes. The breadstick was even dry. Read more
