We just had a phenomenal dinner at The Wine Thief! The foccacia bread and infused oil was the perfect starter. Tonight's special... was a 25 day dry aged strip steak that melts in your mouth....yummmm! The sides were amazing also...braised mustard greens andsweet corn bread pudding. Service was fantastic. We try to wait at least three visits before we post a review and we love this place. Initially recommended by a family member we... had to visit. We are creatures of habit and once we find a place we like, we make it part of our routine. The Wine Thief checksall the boxes we look for - great staff (Kelly and Nick have been great along with others), one of the best wine lists we haveseen since Tin Fish in Tinley closed, great shrimp and polenta (among other dishes), and really good wine and mixed drinks. Bythe way, you have to try the Burrata and the house made soups!!!!! We were surprised how much is made in-house when most othersorder through general food services. The wine thief is a great place to go to just sit and relax and have a glass of wine or one of their amazing signature... cocktails. The staff is always friendly and they remember you, my husband and I always appreciate that when we frequent a placeand they know who you are! The food is outstanding to! You can?t go wrong with dinner or an appetizer here! The food is donewell and very flavorful!! This is a great place with a great atmosphere and I highly recommend checking them out!! Read more

The patio is great for spring summer and in... early fall if you are not sitting by the two heating lamps it might be a little cold if the weather drops.
