We have been dining here for years. It’s always an amazing meal until last night. I cannot overstate our disappointment with... the food, service, and setting. It wasn’t even the same restaurant. I’m wondering if it recently changed hands as the usualteam that’s been there since the original owners sold were not there. The food was delicious, but it was a Saturday night and the service should have been better. Our waitress was very nice, however... we needed fresh utensils for the entree and it took too long to get them, while our food sat there getting cool. Also, I hadasked for dessert with a candle for the birthday we were celebrating, and was told a dessert plate would be served, that “theydo it right “. I was happy to get a reservation for a Saturday night only a few days in advance. Food was excellent. I had the oysters on the... half shell to start and they were amazingly fresh. Loved that it came with Cocktail Sauce and Mignonette Sauce. My husband hadthe Lobster Bisque and thoroughly enjoyed it. The chef sent a tasting of pate that was light and smooth. Scallops were rich anddelicious and my husband polished off the beef special. The chef stopped by to say hello and see if we were enjoying our food.YES, and what a nice gesture to greet us personally. We had the Profiteroles for dessert. My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Chef's Table. Service was warm, welcoming and professional . The menu... included enough choices to please our group of 4. Each of us ordered a different entree and shared. Each and every dish wasdelicious and served hot. We topped off the evening with a yummy Baked Alaska and Crepe Suzzet. Well worth the visit. Last night was the first night I tried in this restaurant. O.M.G.... What a big surprise. Thanks to my wife, we had a most... diclinous food and relax dinner. The restaurant set up is a very caring. Social distance!!! From what I hear the waitresssaid, the owner remind her everyday not to take too much reservations because he want to make sure everyone safe (WE are maskoff and eat). My goodness.... This is odd to hear from the business owner (usually they are less care about customers andstuff more than green in his pocket.) All the food are outstanding, presentation was great.
